Sofia Parkins

With 15 years of experience as a gymnast, Sofia has developed a deep-rooted passion for movement and the body’s incredible ability to adapt and evolve. A recent graduate from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Exercise and Health Sciences, she has spent the past two years as a certified group fitness instructor, teaching Les Mills Bodypump, Pilates, and F45. Known for her kind nature and genuine care, she always puts her clients first, striving to help them feel strong, supported, and empowered.

Since joining the studio, Sofia has not only deepened her passion for physical health but also discovered a growing interest in lymphatic health and the profound connection between emotional wellbeing, lifestyle, and the body. After personally experiencing a time of struggle, she became fascinated by the mind-gut connection and how deeply our emotions impact our physical state. This experience ignited a powerful drive to continue learning, especially in more holistic and integrative approaches to wellness. Her curiosity has recently led her to explore the role of the nervous system in recovery and wellness—diving into tools like the Flowpresso system, which has further expanded her understanding of how to support the body on every level.

An incredibly active person by nature, Sofia is always seeking new ways to move, train, and grow. Being immersed in such a knowledgeable and inspiring studio environment has accelerated her development—not just professionally, but personally. Transforming the way she moves, teaches, and approaches health. Currently in the process of applying to dual-degree programs in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training, Sofia is committed to expanding her knowledge and continuing to help others thrive—body, mind, and spirit.
